Goodbye Thailand, Hello Malaysia!

Hi
So yesterday we left Khao Phanom and the orphanege. Some tears from our favourite kids (of course u get favourites!!) and a lot of hugs and kisses. Gonna miss them a lot, beautiful kids..very special. Friday night we were taken out to a farewell dinner by Ted (the Canadian english teacher) and Mr Saawaat, a extremely kind and generous director of a small school in the area. After the great dinner we sat up small talking to ”the Girls”, some of the younger single female teachers, giggeling and eating crisps. All and all a nice evening. Mr Saawaat gave us a ride in to Krabi on saturday morning, Ted went along for the ride and we had lunch and a coffee. Said our goodbyes and exchanged e-mails so that we can keep track of how his dental project is going, we also gave a small donation to get the thing started. Rested and showered at our hotel and then met up with Muy from the organisation and some new volonteers, all american ones! Went out to dinner with them to a great place were you get a plate and pick various strange or familiar raw things from a buffe and bring it back to your table were they set up electric grills, so u get to play chef for a night. Delicious of course, ha ha. After dinner we took a walk through a night market and bought som jewlery, you practicaly have to when you can get 10 pairs of earings for 40 kr!
We went ot bed pretty early cause the buss that would take us to the ferry left at seven in the morning. The trip to the Malaysian island of Langkawi was uneventful, it took a lot longer then what we were told but hey thats Thai travels in general:) We got a small bungalow right on a wonderful beach but we thought it was a bit expensive so we changed today to a small room a short walk from the beach. Spent the day smelling tax free perfumes, eating a delicious breakfast, getting a full leg waxing (madde says AAAJJJJ!) some foot preasure massage (Trine says Ahhh:)), watching all kinds of marine life at Underwater world and eating a great dinner. Was raining earlier thats why we havent been sunbathing… Langkawi isnt really all that we hoped it would be so we might hed back to thailand eralier then expected, its also a bit more expensive here. Well we will see, plans change fast..We want to to some snorkeling and kajaking before we leave though. Ok , take care. Will write soon again.
Ps Madde is feeling a lot better, back to herself again, shopping earings and five bags of thai drugs (medical ones) did the job:)
